Still another reason why the iPhone SUX: not widescreen
Well, despite Steve Jobs great keynote speech and the overall hype surrounding the iPhone, more news showing that it's not all it's supposed to be.
The iPhone isn't really widescreen. Widescreen is classified as a aspect ratio of 1.78:1, the iPhone sports a 1.5:1 aspect ratio. That puts it in between a standard television screen (4x3) and a real widescreen (16x9). So if you really want to fill up the iPhone screen with a movie, you'll be cropping off the left and right sides or view it letterbox style.
Whatever, since the phone's not coming out till June, I suspect there'll be alot more reasons not to buy it.
