It's "Back-to-work" Monday after a good weekend

Man, Mondays are always hard to come back to especially after a good weekend. Thanks to our hosts for a great time. I look forward to more trips to the countryside.

It started off slow with lots of traffic on our way down to Heathsville, Virginia. The trip down was about 9 hours! Whoa! But it was all worth it.

We started off the Friday night festivities with a little Texas Hold'em Poker. Normally, I totally suck at it and don't like to throw my money away, but with a $5 buy-in and a chance to hang with friends, I gave it a go. And what do you know? I came out the winner, with a whole bunch of beginner's luck, I ended the night $30 richer. It must've been my sunglasses and boonie hat.

Saturday, we groggily put up the net system in the backyard. The wind was blowing, but we were so determined to get some volleyball on. "King of the Beach" title went to DC, for taking the most wins of the day. But in the final matches, with pride on the line, the Boston Open Championship team of PK and the Deuce came out on top beating the superstar team of DC and E-Dawg. Team Intestinal Fortitude wins again!

That night was the grand crab eating night. With over 70 crabs caught in a 10 hour period, they had to go in our bellies. I've never had such fresh crab before. Thanks to Rachelle and Chic for all the fine crab-catching work.

All the super exertion of all day volleyball on Saturday must've taken a toll on my body, 'cuz after the crab dinner, I zonked out for 12 hours. I think I caught a bit of a cold or something. I had the shivers/chills and was sweating at the same time.
But you know what, I still went to work on Monday.
Dammit.

Overall...
good times
good times.
