Damn, for the past 5 days, I've been without a computer. Hence, no updates or Downloads of the Day. I am pretty much up a sh*t's creek, without a paddle.
My hard drive is somehow fried and I have to reformat the whole damn thing. I've tried several times.
First, I reformatted the hard drive. Twice. Because the first time, it didn't seem to work.
And now, I'm trying to install Windows XP again. And it keeps freezing up, or doesn't install all the way. And it keeps rebooting and attempting the install.
This has been happening for the past 3 days.
And the install isn't a quick thing, either. It takes ALL DAY!
So right now, I got another Windows XP disc and I'm going to try it one more time.
Any suggestions?
I may have to call for backup on this one.

Just get a new HD and install windows on that. It seems like your HD is dead. HD's are cheap now a days so that is the route I would take.
