London trip is over, hello NYC.

So I'm back from my London adventure. Although I went to see my fiance, who's doing a month-long internship for a publishing company there, I also went for some sightseeing.
It was a great trip. I've never been to Europe before so a lot of it was novel to me.
I never thought I had to be so careful when crossing the street, seems like the cars came from all directions. The public transportation system, the Underground, was in some ways, better than the New York City subway. The train stations were cleaner, they had partitions between the platform and the track, and they had signs for when the next train was going to arrive. Imagine all that in New York City. Instead of sitting around, not knowing when the next train was coming, you knew exactly that the next train on the Jubilee line was in 3 minutes. Great, isn't it?
Also of note were the people. I suppose that it was the area I was in, South Quay, but they all seemed to be young, beautiful, and upwardly mobile. It was like they all were 24-30 years old and were in great shape. I don't know. Maybe it was just the area.
Corporate housing is great. You got a pool, a gym, a doorman, and heated floors. Heated floors. Can you believe it?
But everything was expensive, maybe it was because of the weak American dollar, it was like two Dollars to every Pound. So even though a Starbucks latte only costs about three Pounds, that's six American dollars. Whoa.
Regardless, it was a great time. Saw a lot of things. Even got to see the Queen of England at Windsor Castle. Had high tea in Windsor. Saw Buckingham Palace, Trafalga Square, Piccadilly Circus, and rode on the London Eye. That was a doozy. It goes pretty high, if you know what I mean.
Check out the pictures...

Goodbye, London

It's been a great trip here in London, saw a lot of things and went a lot of places. Spent some time with my woman...
But now, I'm all packed up and ready to go. Tomorrow, it's back to work and school. I should be studying also. I've got three final exams coming the next two weeks, so Starbucks, here I come again.
I'll post up all the pictures after I edit them and get settled back in NYC.

London trip, day three

Went out on my own out and about London and the surrounding area. Rode the Tube and took a tour bus around to see Buckingham Palace and other places. Tomorrow night, I'll be heading home so I don't think I'll be doing much sightseeing.
It's been a nice time here in England. I'll post up all my pictures when I get back stateside. There's a bunch that I didn't put up here, this is only a sample...

London trip, day two

Went out to Windsor to see the castle there, and surprisingly, we saw the Queen over there checking out band practice out of her window. Got some pictures. Walked around a lot.
Having a great time. Lots to see here. Also, went out and had a few drinks with new friends. Tomorrow, I'm planning on taking a tour of London on a bus...

Trip to London, Day one

Well, just a couple pics from the UK. Got here early Saturday morning and haven't slept a wink yet. Working on almost 48 hours without sleep, trying to dodge the jet lag and get in as much of London as possible within my short stay.
Some things learned on my first day with the Brits:
Always keep your head on a swivel when trying to cross the street.
and
If you're every near London Tower, the public bathrooms are great. I highly recommend them.

I'll post more pics tomorrow and then the whole set when I get back to the states.
Ciao.
