Whoa, it's been almost a year since a post? Looks like
Twitter and Facebook have taken preference over blogging. I suppose it's the true shift to micro-blogging as it's called. Knowing who reads the post and communicating more directly with followers and friends with both applications trumps the use of almost anonymous "yelling into the darkness" that the formal blog represents.
Sure, one could surmise that sites like Twitter are the same thing. But blogs have comments (which are used rarely) and
Twitter has Re-Tweets and Direct Messages, and can be linked to other sites like Facebook.
However, if you don't understand
Twitter or Facebook, then it's probably not for you. I've spoken to several people who totally don't understand the purpose of such sites and it's sometimes difficult to explain to them just what it's all about. But that's the catch-22. If you don't know, it's not for you. Probably just like when you're too old to be in the club, you shouldn't go there in the first place.
But anyway, looks like the blogging paradigm has shifted, at least for me, more Twitter and Facebook, and less Blogspot... :(
