Tasti-D-Lilte Update: See you in court.

Time to go to court! I went to the civil court office today in Brooklyn and set a date for May 2. This past week, I had some conversations with my law firm regarding the lease and I've had some mixed feelings about exactly WHO to name as the defendant in my claim. Just who am I going to sue? It's a choice between my former landlords, who skipped out with my rent; or the owner of the building, who could be held responsible for my security deposit as well, according to the lease(?). Well, after some deliberation, I've gone with M&M Sweets. At least I'm getting something done, and I really didn't want to go and name multiple people in my claim.
And if I go and lose the claim, I can just go and let the owner know about it and then hopefully get some money from him. But, as things go, getting money from somebody usually is a pain in the a55.
So now, I've got a date to go to court on Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at 6:30pm.
