What I'm reading now.
"Incidental Findings", by Danielle Ofri.
A friend, a former chief resident at Bellevue, gave me this book to read after I recounted my tales of patients and work to him over a couple of drinks this past weekend. I'm halfway through and I have to say it's a great read, especially when the author makes all these references to the legendary metropolitan edifice known as Bellevue Hospital.
"Now an attending physician at Bellevue, the author found that her journey to becoming a healer was filled with lessons learned from patients. After completing her residency in internal medicine at Bellevue, Ofri traveled in Mexico, studied Spanish, and worked in small-town hospitals."Yup, we were having drinks at APT on Friday and had a run in with Uma Thurman. I have to say she is REALLY tall.
