Urgent Fury Update: Sudden Death takes its toll
It's sudden death week at Urgent Fury, and it's been tough on [APC]. We've played 5 wars this week and each one of them was played as tactical and thought out as possible. However, we went 2-3 this week.
With only 3 clans left in the Asia AO (Area of Operations), sudden death meant that if you lost your "attack" war, you would lose the county you were attacking from. And if you successfully defended an "attack", then you would gain the country of your attacker. You can check the Tac Map here.
The two other clans are [EC] and [SHO].
To be honest here, in SOCOM 2 and first Urgent Fury Tournament, use of rifle mounted grenade launhers (GLs) were prohibited. However, with SOCOM 3 and it's larger maps, they were allowed to be used.
The top teams now in the Asia AO are almost exclusively using them. They take NO SKILL to use. Players who rely on GLs and random blasting away at corners and areas of open fields with GLs are nothing but unskilled nOObs. Especially on closed maps such as Fault. Basically, it shows that they couldn't hit hit the broad side of a barn with their rifle.
[APC] relies its gameplay on heavy communication and tactics, we have never promoted the use of GLs in our games. But now, some other clans feel they cannot win without stooping to a level of sheer stupidity to overcome our tactical play.
Listen, if you want to play with a bunch of underage kids, then get your GLs out and start friggin' blasting randomly. But if you want a REAL challenge, where it takes some aiming and skill to get a headshot, then put down your GL and come to [APC] country.
Frankly, I can't wait till this Urgent Fury Tournament is over so we can start our 2v2 tourney.
I'm spent.
I'm going to play volleyball.
