FOOD SHOW DAY 3
the final day. all good things must come to an end. after many miles walked and many foods eaten, the last day of the Fancy Food Show comes to an end. after a bad start yesterday, i came back strong with an empty stomach and a full appetite.
although i have to add another key point to the 5 listed before...
6. bring some pepto-bismol. inevitably, your stomach will want to take issue with your eating arrogance.
just a warning folks.
the last day was a good day, though. a word to the wise... many of the exhibitors travel great distances bring much food for attendees to sample. the last day, these same exhibitors, for the most part, do not want to bring the same samples back with them. either it is the monetary expense incurred with perishable food transport or just the hassle of lugging the food around, but they seem very eager to part with their stock the last hour or so.
if you happen to be around at that time, it's a good time to make the rounds. lot's of booty to be had. bottom line: you could have a full course meal at the food show with no problem or effort.
just walk around and you could start with salad, move onto some bread with olive oil, followed by pasta with bolognese sauce, and finish up with your choice of dessert; either ice cream or cake or pie or candy... whatever.
a paradise for those who like to eat. but alas, it is done.
until next year then. i say adieu.
(maybe i'll make the trip to the chicago show...)
