PS3 games to cost almost 100 bucks? WTF?

Somewhat reported as being a false rumor, the blogosphere has news that PS3 games would cost $76-$84. I don't know if it's true or not, but it does put another nail in the coffin for Sony. Why totally be arrogant and price yourself out of the market? I mean, you might even have to get a payment plan to purchase the PS3 units when, and if, they come out. 600 hundred bones for the PS3 and then almost 100 for the games? You're talking a good THOUSAND BUCKS to get your playstation game on. Damn.
There's alot of PS3 haters out there now, but also a rabid fan base that will most probably stick by Sony. However, that Nintendo Wii is looking more and more attractive. But for me, I'm not going to get that PS3 anytime soon, at least not for the first year it's out....
Unless I use my school loans surplus...... hmmm.
