turn red lights to green.

if you drive and hate those damn pesky traffic lights, then this hack is right up your alley.
ever dream of just flippin a switch and have all the traffic lights in front of you turn green? as seen in "from the shadows -- not tv. dot tv.", this gadget actually sends an infrared beam to sensors on traffic lights to turn color. it's called a MIRT: Mobile Infrared Transmitter, and it's being used by ambulances and police right now and it's their "dirty little secret."
well the secret is out. the story was covered here, on Gizmodo.
and the actual instructions on how to make it are here.
the article says you can purchase one for $300-400, with a little research and good social engineering, but it also shows you how to make one for under $20.
