sony PS3 selling for 400 bucks

looks like sony is gonna take a hit into the red early next quarter after releasing the next-gen console for $400, when it costs about $500 to make. the projected loss is about $1.18 billion.
although, this is business as usual when new consoles are produced. sony is hoping for increased market share upon the PS3 release, and later making up for the loss with software and peripheral sales...
